    -------------------------------------------

    These eyes I into see,
    And do I see glee?
I do, yes, and also some doom,
An age of sorrow and dark gloom.

I see happiness, warmth and love,
A mother and father who care for them.
    A family to stay, forevermore,
And love this person, like in tales of lore.

    I see a chapel, a yonder place,
There is here a marrage and smiling face.
A love for ever, a love meant to be,
And later on a huge, rooted tree.

I see hate, emotions of rage,
Breaking out of an iron cage.
It engulfs its victim from within,
And eventually does comes away with win.

I see sorrow, blue and gray,
Sleeplessly lying, the night goes away.
It affects them so, after what they've done,
In the end, they say, I see no sun.

Now I see nothing, black as coal,
The world for them suddenly turned cold.
Their eyes are now hazy, and with endless stare,
    Never again to glance anywhere.

The Eyes are the portal to the soul, the memories and heart.
No wonder these things can never be torn apart.
