    -------------------------------------------

    Earth is engulfed the Darkness,
    Darkness fears the light,
    Light is shunned by Earth,
This is the cycle of many peoples' lives.

Humans pray for life and hope, but they shun it when light tries to give itself to them.
Darkness overcomes humanity due to the fact that it is easy for many to give in to.
Light conquers over Darkness since it is pure and not tainted in any way.

This cycle is contradictory in a sense, yes, but also has logic to it. Humans do wish for hope but we give in too easily to tempting sins, or "wrongs," if you prefer that word, and light can always triumph over the darkness but is shunned once again by our decision. Why do we shun light, whatever we may think of it as? I believe it is because we have to suffer to an extent we don't want to suffer at if we choose the light or we ignore it when light presents itself to us through any form. We have to right this wrong somehow; even if it is doing a little better with ourself and others each day, we, as humans, need to do it so that humanity, as a whole, does not suffer by implosion or colapsing in on itself.
