I inch further away
But they just crawl faster.
I bow my head-
Obey my master.
I know better now.
Than to try and run and hide
They know me inside and out
And know exactly where to find.
Running not an option,
I just lay down, submit
pretend that i am someone else
And have gotten used to it.
What more of me
Is there to take?
Just take it all
Because it is fake.
Sweetheart, please exhale
I need to breathe your precious air
To take me someplace else
Make me not be there.
The wreck inside me
So starkingly bright-
My head cannot bear
One more internal fight.
