    With the choices I make,
    The tasks I undertake,
    The people I fail,
In wanting to do my own will,

    I have been kind, sure,
But for what? I can guarantee the intentions weren't pure,
    So I ask,
Have you ever failed, and it felt like your last,

    My words,
What good have they been, perhaps as swords,
That's what I get for trying to walk like a swagger,

    So what do I do?
My guess start with sorry, okay what about step two?
    Well I just apologize,
And do my best to live not a good life,

I want better, I want a Godly life,
Time to be free from lies,
    From harming others,
    Kindness must rule this warrior,

Ther is a time for war,
    For anger, for swords,
    But now,
At this time, I must put my weapons down,

    And aid my neighbors,
    For they are not traitors,
    But friends,
So to my old self, I put an end.

The first step in changing oneself is being able to see your own faults. Not everyone is willing to look inside them self and face up to who they really are. It's hard
and a painful process to live a Godly life. You have to
learn to die to yourself every day. I enjoyed reading your poem.
