    -------------------------------------------

    Soul of The Sin Eater

    Irredeemable
    They say this soul
    Is lost
    Outcast amongst the living
    For the dead
    Cleansed by bread and salt
    Swallowed whole
    The sinning heart
    Taken by ritual
    The stain

    I sacrifice myself
    Condemned they say
    To hell

    Their loved ones passing
    In death
    I free
    To blamelessness
And in the poverty of wind
    I eat my meal
    Of sin

    Excommunicated and shunned
    The social ghost
    Of wrong
I take into my blessed soul

    No one asks me why

    And the passage of time
    Fills me with the dead
    Burdened my dish of suffering
    And the evil they do
    Taken in
    Swallowed whole
I am the eater of sin
    Outcast amongst the living

    The fall to hell
    My blessed soul
    The acceptable price
    I pay
    For coming so close
    To the sacrifice
    Of the Christ

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
