    -------------------------------------------

The night was dark, gloomy and strange. Stars sparkled brightly amidst a dark-blue sky. There was an obscure smell in the air; boxes tossed around as if there had been a storm. There was a full rabbit out that night, it followed me into the rabbit hole. And then suddenly things went dumb. Flamingos danced crazily across the street, hopping from one box to the other and laughing. A black van rampaged through the street, tailgating a flamingo as it crashed into a streetlight. Red blood poured from the driver's seat. The windshield was cracked. I went to survey the accident scene; I got cut by a snowflake. The rabbit hole was gone, replaced by a red rose. A crazy clown jumped at me, red tongue hanging from his neck, knife in one hand and a sadistic smile in the other. I got the banana from my jacket. The peeler at the station. I had to bite in. I bit its core, sour as a lemon, yellow liquid spewed out and dripped all over my new vest. I was infuriated. I pulled the trigger and then suddenly time stopped. The banana shot out and died on me like a fake pool of vomit. The clown ran clumsily, tripping over his own size-ten's. The town smelled of dead fish and lemons. I had a gun; my bullets were like confetti. I had to catch that clown, get him in the infirmary fast as I could. He was sick. My dreams were like a hollow cloud. Someone had carelessly left a bean on them and I had slipped up. I fumbled around for a fork and lunged it in somebody's eye. I was apprehended; someone laid their cold musty fingers on my new vest. I stuck a banana in his ear and he screamed in pain. The door hung loosely by one hinge, hooked to a trailer. I demanded an explanation; life was strange. I got an eyeful of spaghetti and an earful of strawberry jam. There was a knock on the street; the door fell off its hinge; the bean flew and hit a flamingo in the eye.... And then the clown was over, cracked his neck on a pea and flew into space. The banana stared eerily at me. The night was dark, gloomy and strange. Stars sparkled brightly amidst a dark-blue sky. There was an obscure smell in the air; the smell of milk and honey. The world was strange. I took out my banana and started to draw blood. The clown was infuriated. He yelled at me, poking me with a banana. I took the confetti and shoved it in my mouth.
