Have you heard one sound?
One simple but undetected?.
I heard it everyday,
yet yesterday I noticed it.
This sound came near
as I started to fall asleep.
Silence for a moment
and then the sound.
Constant, rhythmic as clock
heavy, low as heart beating.
It came closer and closer
and when it suddenly faded
it still continued in my head.
