Spider Willow

A busted body
crawls through a desert.
Right when all
hope seems to be lost
Demons lift it
up towards the great sky.
Bruised lips gnarl
into a dry smile
and bleeding eyes
laugh into the sun
watching angels descend.
Crying in cups
they dump down
into his grimace
that he rejects.
As an amorphous form
the corpse becomes
lack of vulnerability manifests.
The universes king is born
and reborn
to burn
and eat himself
chewing away at reality
perspiring cigarettes
he's the dentist,
just reading a magazine.
