This is an angry outburst about my outlook on the future and our children.

    dotsThe Future, Our Childrendots

The daily challenge is more than a person can take sometimes. I think that if we all went back in time and observed for the day that we would learn more than you could imagine, I know that concept sounds absurd. Just think about it, take a moment and really think about life today and then. Wasn't there less violence then today? There was less stereotyping, your status then was not based on what you drove or what you were (as much on the clothing), cause everyone rode the same thing, a horse, and wore pretty much the same style of clothes. Television was not invented, no super models, movie stars, or rich and famous that was flashed before children's eyes everyday making them think less of themselves. Yes I know that status has always made a different on the way you lived, how much money you make, but it was less of a concern back then.
Sometimes I think that life moves to fast for the people of today or that we are moving to fast for life. However you wish to view it, I think that we have too much knowledge on things that are not a major concern for us. We place too much value on money and not enough on family and life in general. We are to concerned with how much we make or trying to make enough money to get that better car, that better house, that better TV, so we can stay caught up with the Jones. Why does it really matter what anyone thinks of you. Why cant you just be happy with the life that you have and not have to worry about whether you are good enough to rub elbows with the rich and famous. We need to start worrying about the future of our kids and the planet that they have to live on.
What are they going to do when all the resource that we have, have been used up. When housing developments consume all the land. Or when interstates and highways cut into the natural habitats. Where is all the wildlife that our planet depends on going to live? We are heading for a major ecocatastrophe. The wildlife sanctuaries are not going to be able to handle the over fill not at the rate we are using up land. What happens to when the water sources run dry? Are thinking enough about this situation? No we as a country, a world are not thinking enough about this. We in this country think more about how to generate more money so we can spend it on what? More housing developments, more skyscrapers, more money spent for war more money to research new computer technology to create more gadgets that cost a arm, a leg and you life savings to afford. These people are smart people why don't they use it for the good. It sickens me to no end.
You are probably thinking why am I so irate about this, what brought this on, my kids that is what brought it on, Along with the pure ignorance's of people and their demeaning view of children anymore. The fact that my children feel that they are less because they have less, which makes people view them as nothing but trouble and worthless in their eyes. If they don't come from money then they are nothing. I know that sounds like it is a bunch of crap but that is the truth. I am sure if you were to poll adults and ask which child is more trouble based on appearance alone, the child that is dressed in expensive clothing and has all the high tech gadgets or the child dressed in less expensive clothes (old and/or worn) without any expensive gadgets, the ones dressed less would be pick right off. Even though it is the opposite in many cases. We need to believe in all children not just the ones who are thought to have money.
The world needs to look at these children and think of them as their leaders of the future. The people who need a chance to give this world a chance to survive. There is too much pressure on kids today to be something that they may never get a chance to be.
It is time to think of the children.
