did you know that you can make a living being a janitor
but nobody's gonna do that, so let's take it back to planet earth
everybody thinks their worth larger than the next man
i guess that's why you're jobless, more for the mexicans
maybe we need to think again,
and maybe stooping is our way to not live both poor and stupid
you whores need to stop collecting checks from the man
and then have the nerve to point fingers at uncle sam
so, i don't believe in affirmative action "why"
maybe before we start, we need to ask them "why"
i got hired over that guy who's white
when i have bad references and can't work nights
as if i have some right or privledge
claiming to play a victim, when everything we say is mean-spirited
maybe America needs a reality check
but we'll just cash it quick and put twenties on the vette
i bet any money that respect is earned, and
and as soon as we stop bitching bout the roadblocks
    we can jump over them
i learned this from older black men, who say they're embarrassed
cuz today, the way we throw around our race is careless
as if the muslim down the street couldn't embrace his roots
without asking for a handout and claiming that's just the truth
how many people got out, how many saw the light of day
without being scared of its rarity and running the fuck away

    ok, ok,
    so help me to understand
you accept a welfare check and still call yourself a man
still balling up a fist and pleading for change
rocking a rhinestone obama shirt and a biden dookie chain
didn't pay attention till you heard somebody black was running
so honestly, politically, you know nothing
this is the same cat who's pops clawed and scrapped
    to be treated the same
and now we separate ourselves, my have the times changed
i guess it seems a little strange
the same niggas claiming to be big ballers don't want to play the game
    at least the professional status
little black boys don't aspire to shit, but crack dealer or rapper
or both or athelete or all three
we're only a couple generations seperated of martin king
i can't stand the worship of mlk, its ignorent
if you stray away from another man because of pigment
and we call it legit, because our grandaddy went through the worst
there's the quickest race war, when everybody's pulls the trigger first
when everybody sees the white of each other's eyes
realize we're all alike on the inside
don't let them take anymore, they took our schools
the best teachers out of them and then took some more
this is the fucking definition of regress, police at black schools
when most of the teens pruchase weed during reccess
    maybe we do feel repressed,
most of us poor, before the crash and the war
    we was still depressed
    ...
    i am a black man
    a well-spoken, well-off
decensdant of the African men and women who worked this same land
    we stand on
I'm decended from the Indians who lived here first
Made from the shoulder blades of Italians and Irish men
who at one point had it the worst
So I'm aware of who and what struggle visited
I've been called whitey and been black listed
I understand if you got something to say
we help, but sooner or later today, you'll have to listen to yourself

its isn't AIDS, it ain't the white man, it ain't the way it is
its us not believing that we can

Some might not agree with your write. You tell it like it is. We must open our eyes to what is really going on. It's like two steps backward. Instead of wanting to get ahead, some will sit on their azz waiting for the handout. Everything is not promised to you. Life deals its blows but you have to take control and choose your own destiny. I can go on and rant but I won't. Truly a very good piece.
