I live in a world that does not surround me,
this fantasy of the way my life should have been.

    Becomes my true reality.

Living in a world with betrayal, abuse, and hatred I separate myself with entirely!

I look around and see I'm playing catch with my Dad
The Step Father who use to linger in each corner no longer exists

I see my Mother coming home from work and she begins to make dinner.
The depressed, self centered, unemployed drug abuser Mother I use to know no longer lives at this house!

My reality is slowly coming together...

    No betrayal from my Mother
No abused from a Step Father that no longer exists
No hatred toward a Father who was never there for me.

Life is a matter of living !

    sometimes its good, sometimes bad,
    sometimes awesome, sometimes troublesome :)

But come what may, keep living,
For one day, that very day,
    When all rough, turns surf,
Will the smile, you'll understand the Long Mile :)

    Regards,

I am glad that some of the wrongs that you endured as a child are now being righted. That does not erase the damage that was done by them . But it does seem to help repair some of it I know.

Try not to look at things expecting them to go bad, and try to remember you weren't the reason any of them happened and now those who should have protected you are finally realizing that they weren't there when they needed and they owe you to stand up and be there now.
    Because you DESERVE it.
Keep writing keep hoping keep believing!
