dotsWould you, Could you, Should you?dots
    -------------------------------------------

    Would you look at me
If I dyed my hair an odd color?
    Would you listen to me
If I screamed with a different voice?
    Would you understand me
If I no longer had any problems?
Would you begin to love me
If I felt no emotions at all?

Could you stand to touch me
If my skin was flawless and clean?
Could you stand to kiss me
If my lips were smiling and soft?
Could you stand to embrace me
If my body glowed and gleamed?
Could you stand to love me
    If loving was suddenly easy?

Should you decide to like me,
If I acted like an angel?
Should you want to help me
If I double returned the favor?
Should you stay with me forever
If I never showed you my tears?
    Should you love my defects
    Even if I became perfect?

My biggest comment about the imagery is in the third stanza second verse. "double the favor" pulled me out of the question there and caused me to stop looking and appreciation the imagery. I'd reword it. Other than that the previous comment is correct.

I get images with every line, I'll list them....

    1) A girl with auburn hair, turns it a bright golden yellow.

2)A girl who usally talks quitely, is angered and screams out to those around her, hoping to be heard.

    3) Someone pretending to be Okay when their not.

    4) A pretender, loving someone because they think that's their job, not because they really do. Like "couples" you see in High School, tow kids "dating" because their friends paired them up.

    5) A girl with mild skin problems, wondering if someone will ever see past them to the her underneith.

    6) A girl that frowns, with thin cracked lips. Who wish to have full soft lips, there's unneeded. Doesn't she know?

    7) A girl changing for someone else, with out need.

    8) No image to give love....

    9) the whole thing, a girl wondering in a hall way, watching people around her....

All in all, wonderful poem, the whole image I have here for you is many...

I see many girls, different age's and body types, all insucure. All wanting what the other has, as is often the case. Typical teenage thing I guess, maybe even typical for adult women....who knows....
