"Pandora?..."
A young woman with sugar pink hair and bright blue eyes spoke to herself quietly as she leaned back against the wall of the convention hall with her arms behind her.
"Promise me that you won't leave me and promise me that nothing bad will happen to you..."
Her quiet voice quivered as her eyes watered. She leaned forward and placed her hands on her thighs. The Fabric of the tight cotton bicycle shorts felt soft under the rough skin on her palms. Her long fingers slowly dragged themselves up her thighs to touch the leather belt that sat on her hips at an angle that flattered her thin figure. At her hip was her main weapon in it's holster, a sickle hook on a linked chain. Strapped to her shin high boots was a set of throwing knives on each boot. She sighed and closed her eyes as her hand grabbed her upper arm where another knives holster sat; it sat snugly with its straps wrapped around her arm, but not too tight as to constrict the blood flow in her arm. She started grinning as she opened up her eyes to reveal that they were no longer the pretty light blue they once were but now a deep shade of crimson. She continued to grin and began to tie her shoulder length sugar pink hair back into a ponytail that seemed to be quite flippy and wild. Her bangs hung in her face as she pulled two strands of hair that was a bit longer than he bangs down on either side of her face. Her black cat ears twitched and her black tail swished back and forth playfully as she pushed herself off the wall.
"Kioko, I promised you that I will always stay with you. I will fight for us and I will not lose. SO don't worry about it okay... Just leave everything to me and we'll have our wished granted before you know it... Just leave it to me..."
Pandora scanned the room with her crimson eyes, they dodged back and forth and she examined all of the people in the room. She stopped then looked up at Miss. Lydia who seemed to be at the start of the closing to her speech. Pandora turned around and exited out of the large convention hall and entered into the long hall way of the hotel.
"Kioko... do you trust me?..." She spoke quietly as she stood in the middle of the hall with her eyes closed.
' ... Yes Pandora... I do trust you.'
Pandora opened her crimson eyes and started to grin again. She had heard Kioko's response in her mind. They shared a part of their mind together so that they can communicate with each other, this was also convenient for their conversations. That way they wouldn't have to keep switching who had control of the body just so they could talk to each other. Pandora was happy with Kioko's response and turned and started to head down the hall towards the auditorium away from the convention hall.
The hallways were long and they seemed to be really wide as well. The walls were a calm ivory color with the occasional painting hanging on the wall. It seemed to be three doors then a painting then another three doors. The doors seamed to be made of oak and had a dark finish on them to make them shine and also allowed their door knobs to stand out more. The dark wooden doors with bright silver door knobs, Pandora also noticed that the color of the door knobs and the hanging numbers assigned to each door were the same color. Although, this long hallway felt more like a time line than anything else.
'Pandora... you notice and appreciate the weirdest things about places.'
A quiet chuckle emerged from Pandora's lips as she smiled and moved her long black tail in a playful manner.
" I appreciate that a nice hotel like this can have the decency and the planning to use the same colors and materials to make things look more uniform instead of just thrown together because of money or time. A nice hotel should look nice and together. Not slobbish."
Pandora's laughter was cut short as she felt a foot smash into her right side and throw her back into the wall to her left. She slammed against the wall and lowered her self slowly into a crouching position as she grabbed her side.
"Son of a bitch! What the hell was that!"
Pandora looked up and spotted a girl with blonde hair that was pulled into pig tails. The girl was starring down at Pandora with a sheepish look about her. Pandora jumped back quickly and stood up and glared at the girl as she held her side.
'Pandora! Are you okay?!'
Pandora threw her arm to the side and winced slightly "Nothing but a couple of bruised ribs babe. I'm more than fine."
Pandora continued to glare at the pigtailed girl, who now was starring back at her with a look of confusion to her face. "I'm going to assume that you are Miss. Adeley..."
The girl nodded and then stepped forward. "Indeed I am. And you are Kioko?"
"No." Pandora spoke roughly "My name is Pandora and..." She paused and allowed her eyes to change to the brilliant bright blue they were earlier.
"And I am Kioko! It's a pleasure to meet you Miss. Adeley!" Kioko approached Adeley until she was right in front of her, she smiled and held out her hand and waited for Miss. Adeley to accept and shake her hand.
'Kioko... be careful. She is not our friend...'
Adeley paused and grabbed Kioko's hand and smiled as well, Kioko was gleaming with happiness.
"See Pandora! She won't do any-"
At that moment Adeley grabbed Kioko with her other hand and flipped Kioko over he small body, smashing Her into the ground. Kioko screamed in pain as all the wind was knocked out of her. Adeley stood over her smiling, Kioko's eyes were full of sadness. She coughed and struggled to speak as her eyes watered.
"But... why..."
"This is war..." Adeley spoke to Kioko quietly. "You can't just go around trying to make friends with people here. They could be your enemy and they'll stand in your way of what you want Miss. Kioko."
Adeley turned around and started heading down the back towards the convention hall that they were all gathered in about 15 minutes ago. Where everyone sat listening to Miss. Lydia's opening of the tournament.
Kioko lay on the ground panting for air as tears fall from her eyes. She closes her eyes and starts to sob "I'm sorry Pandora... I messed up... I'm so sorry..."
Her eyes opened up and showed the deep crimson red that belonged to Pandora. She stood up wearily and gained her balance after a moment the spoke quietly. "It's okay Kioko... remember. I'm suppose to take care of these kind of things. I'll take care of her..."
Pandora drew her chained sickle, properly know as a Kusarigama. She held the chain in both hands and started to swing the the end with the sickle attached in circles to her side. She was building up momentum as she started to follow Adeley. The length of Pandora's strides doubled those of Adeleys, she breathed in and out with ease and her eyes were narrowed and fixed upon her prey. Pandora was on a hunt... he ears flattened and her tail swayed in little motions as she walked forward.
Adeley turned around with a smile upon her face. "I thought that was a little too easy Miss. Kioko!".
Pandora grinned as she continued to swing the sickle in circles at a much faster rate than before. "It's Pandora... the red eyes are mine where as the blue eyes are my beloved Kioko's... I suggest you run... " Pandora seemed to glow with anger as she glared at Adeley. "No one hurts Kioko and gets away with it..."
Adeley's smile seemed to disappear a bit as she spoke to Pandora "Thanks, but I'm sure I'll be fine. That weapon is very old and I'm sure that they aren't use anymore for a reason."
"So be it..." Pandora growled then threw her Kusarigama at Adeley, with her other hand she held on tight to the other end of the chain, she held it about two feet from the spiked ball at the end of it. The sickle hurdled towards Adeley with its chain tail following it loosely. Adeley grinned and jumped up into the air as the sickle wizzed passed underneath her. She landed back on the ground looking at Pandora as if she had just defeated her and her "mighty" weapon. Pandora had been waiting for this. She grinned and she had a wild look in her eyes as she jerked the chain back towards herself with her free hand and twisted the chain. The sickle rotated and started to fly back towards Pandora. The sickle pierces through Adeley's calve and through her shin.
Adeley's face went from cheery with a solid smile to widened eyes and a look of horror. The sickle and chain was not going to stop, Pandora jerked the chain back again to feed it more momentum. The sickle with Adeley's attached by the leg came flying back, then about a yard away from herself Pandora jerked the chain in a downward motion to throw Adeley into the ground by her right leg in which Pandora's sickle was protruding from.
Adeley lay limp with her eyes still widened from shock. The pain hasn't set in yet, Pandora was sure of it. The carpet soaked up the blood that was pouring out of Adeleys leg. Pandora stood there and took in deep breaths. The scent of blood was intoxicating to Pandora, she licked her lips and flattened her eyes. She had a crazed look in her eyes as she lowered her body into a crouching position.
'Pandora! Snap out of it! Pandora!!'
Pandora closed her eyes and shook her head as she stood upright now. Her crimson eyes scanned the hallway "What a mess..." She sighed and walked over to Adeley then bent down to lift her up off the ground. Adeley's hand lunged for Pandora's throat and grabbed on as tight as she could. She gritted her teeth from the pain she was in and fought the urge to cry out and scream. Pandora closed her eyes and calmly breathed in and grabbed a throwing knife from her boot. She then quickly brought it up to Adeley's neck and whispered to her "I wasn't going to kill you... but if you keep it up I will have to. Let me take you to Misha... or you will die right here."
Adeley searched in Pandora's eyes fro anything that would suggest that she was lying to her. She wouldn't loosen her grip on Pandora's throat.
Pandora pressed the blade against Adeley's throat gently then leaned down and kissed her deeply. Adeley's eyes widened and her grip loosened immediately, as soon as Pandora felt her grip loosen she pulled the blade away and pulled her lips from Adeleys.
Adeley's face was beet red and her body seemed to be frozen, she would try to resist Pandora anymore. Pandora grinned and lifted her up into her arms. "Now. To go find Misha."
'Pandora! WHY DID YOU KISS HER LIKE THAT!'
Pandora flinched and grumbled "She let go didn't she... it was to shock her into let go out my damned throat so I could breath babe... It wasn't for any other reason. Besides you know your my girl. As soon as we get our own bodies you'll know for sure that your my girl" Pandora grinned as she thought of images so Kioko could freak out.
Pandora walked down the hallway towards the elevators with Adeley in her arms. Blood dripped from the gaping wound in her leg and trickled onto the ground leaving a trail behind them, Pandora had to ignore the scent of the blood for now.
Pandora approached the elevator and shifted Adeley in her arms and reached to push the button with the arrow pointing towards the ceiling. "What floor are you and Misha on?" Pandora looked down at Adeley and waited for a response. Adeley looked down and shook her head. "You can't hurt Misha... please..."
The elevator dings happily and opens it's doors and seems to welcoming with it's pleasant music. Pandora walked in with Adeley and adjusting her again she speaks softly to her "I won't hurt hurt so long as she doesn't try to pull one over on me. I'm not afraid to use your body to shield my own. So it's entirely up to her whether or not you both live or die today. I would prefer not to kill... Kioko can't handle death so I try to contain myself for her sake... what floor...?"
Adeley closes her eyes and holds back tears and whispers out "Two... I'll make sure Misha won't pull anything... Thank you...Pandora..."
Pandora nods and then manages to push the circular button with the number 2 marked on it. The elevator closes it's doors and begins to move up, the music plays softly and innocently as blood pools on the floor of the elevator. Ding! It cheers happily as it opens it's doors to floor number two. Pandora walked through the threshold of the elevator out into the elevator lobby and approached a tall woman with messy brown hair in military bdu pants. She stood in front of Pandora about 2 yards away and stared at Adeleys wounded leg.
" Ady..." Misha gasped as she reached out fro her then stopped. She glared at Pandora and pulled out her side arm and aimed it at Pandora and fired off two rounds. Pandora shifted her weight and held Adeley in front of her, shielding her own body with Adeleys. One bullet entering her arm and the other entering Adeleys shoulder.
"Misha stop!!" Adeley cried out as Pandora drops her to the ground and pulls out her Kusarigama and wraps the chain around Adeleys neck.
"Your next move determines her life and your own Misha!" Pandora's eyes were intense and her black ears were flattened against her head. Her black tail swished aggressively as she growled at Misha.
Adeleys struggled and held onto the chain as she coughed. "Misha... It hurts!..." Adeley reached out for Misha and started to sob. Misha lowered her weapon and lowered her head. "Let Adeley go! I'll put my weapon away and admit defeat... Just don't hurt her anymore..."
Pandora loosened the chains and lifted them from around Adeleys neck. "I'll hold you to your word as I am respecting mine..." She backed up slowly, her ears still flattened against her head.
Misha runs forward and picks up Adeley carefully and backs away. "Why did you do this to her?..."
Pandora grabs a hold of her bleeding arm tightly and grits her teeth "No one hurts Kioko and gets away with it... " She bows slightly and hurries off down the hall and runs to broom closet and enters it closing the door behind her.
Pandora plops herself down onto the floor and throws her head back in pain "Argg... Bullets hurt..." Pandora closes her eyes and whispers. "We made it through the first round... See I told you I'd take care of us... didn't I?..." She opens her eyes to show their bright blue color. Kioko winces and murmurs a spell to herself. Her body glows a little bit as she nods "You did well Pandora... thank you..." She closes her eyes and doses off as her body attempts to heal itself a little bit at a time. 'The next battle won't be easy Kioko..." |
