Sometimes poetry's jazz; sometimes it's Zen. Sometimes it's if; Sometimes it's when. Sometimes poetry rhymes; sometimes it don't. Sometimes it will; sometimes it won't. Sometimes poetry laughs; sometimes it cries. Sometimes you want more; sometimes it just dies. Sometimes poetry has imagination; sometimes it's concrete. Sometimes it lifts you high; sometimes it sets your feet. Sometimes poetry roams all around; sometimes it has a beat. Sometimes you get it with your head; sometimes you tap your feet. |
Happy day! I really enjoyed this cute and for real piece! Great rhythm and a nice afternoon read! Smiles to Share ;-) | Posted on 2011-06-20 00:00:00 | by Epiphany | [ Reply to This ] | Simply well done effort and presentation that makes me think of this being read aloud (performed) which is easier said than done because not all masterpieces take 15 minutes and another thing it said most was that poetry revolves around time. | It tells you the writer or reader has deep thoughts about this subject matter pertaining a way of expression in all forms, types, categories and feelings of the human being at any walk of life. Fine work you have here and I can see the stripes you've earned, form and all. I define this piece with words that have meaning like: reality, imagine, sounds, skill, awareness and so on. It stands strong. RG | Posted on 2010-12-29 00:00:00 | by Rex Gold | [ Reply to This ] | How you describe poetry is how I would also describe life. I don't think either of us are mistaken. Those two coexist in the life of a poet because a poet's life is poetry and his poems breathe and beat in much the same way his lungs fill with air and his heart throbs. I wonder if you would agree. Whatever the case may be this is the first poem I've actually read since I got back and I see now that it is good to be back :) | | Posted on 2010-09-20 00:00:00 | by Porcelaine | [ Reply to This ] | sometimes it is | what it aint what it is sometimes the cola just lives for the fizz | Posted on 2010-09-17 00:00:00 | by rws | [ Reply to This ] | I'm usually not much for rhyme poetry but I enjoyed this. It is light and fun. It would be a great poem to read to little kids to get them interested in the idea of reading poetry and writing their own work. | | Posted on 2009-12-13 00:00:00 | by JanePlane | [ Reply to This ] | Thanks for commenting. Happy to have you smile. I felt good writing it - guess it came through. | | Posted on 2009-11-20 00:00:00 | by my shadow | [ Reply to This ] | I loved this- it made me smile! Sometimes its so hard to pinpoint the exact hows and whys...but sometimes it just feels right! I didn't even notice the first go-around that it had a rhyme scheme! Thank you for the read! | | Posted on 2009-11-18 00:00:00 | by isis_lenore | [ Reply to This ] | |
