Laid All Out

I have traded the devil everything I got
for an earth filled to the core with rot.
When he offered I didn't spare passing thought,
but now it's disappeared.
Death has been seen in everyones eyes.
Just as they feared
end will come to everything despised.

There's nothing everywhere;
Wherever that is.
It's but a thought from here;
Black emptiness.

Giving roses to the plastic angels
I hum my hopes and dreams away.
Threads of the fabric of reality dangle.
Time comes in beautiful tidal waves
to wash yesterday to tomorrow.
I have had the roads paved
over the mass grave of my sorrows.

  an overwhelming sense of doom is what this poetry elaborates and i really think that it is quite an uncommon topic to write upon. u have done a really good job with your choice of words and the way your thoughts were put down. my favorite lines would be:

Time comes in beautiful tidal waves
to wash yesterday to tomorrow.
