    dotsThank Youdots

My Father i want to truly gratefully give praise.
Thank You for guarding me in my numbered days.
Always You are there with me in all of my ways.
I can but try beginning to repay for pains You erase.

Lord i want to stop and sincerely say thank You.
You gracefully grant me with the ability to pray.
Thanks for listening always and giving me a way.
A priviledge it is for me to speak to You everyday.

My sweet Shepherd i want to commend You.
You provide me with love and plenty of friends.
People that care and understand my means.
Allies You sent me to support my ideas and ends.

My Messiah i want to perfect praise to You.
You protect me against the disrupting devil.
You easily exterminate from my life his evil.
Best friend found in You ever keeping me true...

I can but bow and grovel to try say thanks.
You enlighten and elevate me in Your ranks.
Only praise and thanks i can say or try to give back.
I gladly live Your name under pressure or attack.
Please protect those i love and keep me on track.

My decree can only be to God be the glory.
By believing this only the best flows from me.
In His eyes we are all created perfect, equal.
Do not live your life morbid or monotonously.
After this life lies the great climaxing sequel.
Just do not let the devil get the best of thee...

My saviour Your laws are etched in stone.
Truths revertebrating from a time long gone..
I realise that you reveal to us an innuendo.
Visions of dark ages and times we enter into.
I wish to spend all of my time following You.
My God i just want to be complete & follow through.
My thoughts in process be things You already knew.
My master and messiah all i want to say is Thank You.

      this is beautiful
it reads something like a psalm though it feels like its missing the anguish/turmoil a lot of them start with. you know the way the psalmist starts off with GOD WHERE ARE YOU!? WHAT IS GOING ON and then slowly manages to unpackage everything only to realise that god is where he always was and doing what he was always doing and then the turmoil/anguish slowly turns to praise...

your writing interests me because you end every line with a period. which essentially means each line is an individual statement as opposed to a contribution to a whole piece. i wonder why that is...

your vocab is impressive and ability to rhyme far better than mine which amuses me considering english is supposed to be my mother tongue

I really loved this. Maybe because I say thank you too much, heh.

But I do- I love the words that you put in and how you desribed everything.

For example, I liked it when you said:
"My saviour Your laws are etched in stone.
Truths revertebrating from a time long gone.."

I like how you said "etched". You could have said something else like written, or something less elegant.

In all, I thought it was great. Keep at it, and I'll be sure to review more of your poems :0
