Jason Taylor was reading his partner's,Nevaeh dean, ideas that she had recorded in her file. He planned to ask her
about her ideas, which he found intresting,when she got back, she was Currnetly was at the orignal murder sene hoping there was some clues left, he thought it was a futile effort and had said so
on a number of occasions but it didnt seem to matter to her she felt there was something there and so he let her indulge in
her little pleasures. He stood up, he'd gotten a call that there was a witness to the murder and he was willing to testifiy!
If jason was able to prove that his testimony was true and catch the culprit was caught he could end tis war and everything
that they had been fighting for wouldnt be in vain. The war would be over, finally! The very
thought of the end of the war brought a warm, bright smile to his lips.
Meanwhile Nevaeh was at the orignal crime scene looking around quickly taking photos on her enV3 and sending them
to her email at the station. She sighed but a small smile came over her as she rembered jason's constant teasing about
the choices she made regarding the yearly trips she made to the crime scene "silly boy" she said out loudly and sighed
lately she had been noticing jason in more ways than she shouldand sometimes it scared her
she shouldnt feel this way it was wrong, they were partners not lovers and besides they
were barely out of high school she had plenty of time to find a boyfriend or a lover,
but she knew she wouldnt be happy untill the Jason thing was taken care of. When she
stepped into the main bedroom she felt a hand grab her throat and she gasped trying
to breath she elbowed it in the gut and looked at it and felt her heart leap in her throat,
it was a level 5, the scale going from 1 to five, and a vey dangerous creature by far.
The thing was about seven feet tall and had a club in one hand and a bow and quiver
on its back, its scales a bright red and its toungue seeming to spit acid just by
being flicked at you and its eyes seemed souless and blank quickly she reached in her phoneyy
and called jason and when it rang she hung up, that was their emergancy signal, she only
hoped that he could make it here in time.
Jason had just finished interigatting the witness when his phone went off looking at it he frowned
as he saw who it was 'thats not good' he thought with a sigh 'so much for a good day of investigating' he thought as he
headed down town looking at the buildings suddenly a arrow went rigt by his head 'an assasain' he thought dumbfounded
as another arrow sailed by his head he groaned, this was a first they hadntbeen shot at much and really this was annoying
him to no end he looked behind him to see what he estimated was a level four repitlian mutation and it was running at him
at about 60 miles an hour! He quickly made a left turn just as nevaeh came running out of the buling to his left he stopped
quickly and said "hurry get in" he motioned ofr her to hurry with his hands "come on come on" he cried as she jumped in
quickly and said "lets go" she siad loudly "theres a level five with a club and broadsword" she told him calmly and collected
he put his foot to the petal ansd sped off "here" he said handing her a gun "try to shoot them in the heart" he said softly
as he made a sharp U-turn throwing them off for a second but they were soon back on the hunt. Nevaeh was doing her best to
shoot them but they were quick, finally she got one n the foot but cried "shit! im out of ammo" she st down normally
and looked at him "you got anymore ammo for this thing" she asked. He shook his head "nope" he said calmly.
"well" she said calmly "i hope you can out run them".
He nodded and sighed, it was gonna be a long drive,just then they heard a loud BANG and then suddenly the
lizard with the broad sword in his hand "out" Jason cried as they both dived out of the car.
They watched in horror as the lizard sliced through the hood and into the engine "run" he hissed, she nodded
and got up quickly running beside him then she realized something "Hey wheres the other one" she asked.
Jason was looking for the other lizard just as neveah was asking about it "im not sure" he admitted with a frown.
He looked up and saw the old bank,empty and unused, and pointed at it "hey this way" he said motioning her
towards the old bank. When they stepped inside he quickly flipped the light switch "powers off" he said.
Neveah looked at him "no dip sherlock" she said her voice dripping with sarcasm.
He shrugged "i try" he said grinning.
Jason looked out the window and froze, motioning her against the wall he stopped and watched fascinated
as the creatures walked slowly by the bank using their tongues to track thier scents "hide" he hissed.
She nodded and looked around, the closest hiding spot was the managers office so she tugged on his arm
he looked up and nodded heading towards the bank managers office locking the door they waited and listened.
Neveah cracked the door to see the lizard men looking at her suddenly there was a loud bang and suddenly the world went black. |
