Description:

a best friend donates her heart, and forever as an angel watches over her.

(For MidnightSun89)

A heart can live forever

The cool night ocean breeze gently blows through and caresses your skin. You're shivering, but not from the cold, so I hold you closer than ever before and let your shivers become mine. This room has never been darker, but the sky contradicts otherwise. Millions of stars are scattered across the sky tonight, but not one of them brings a sparkle to your eye. In this small room, I feel weak but a burn to be strong. There's nothing I can do to take all your pain away, but I will lie with you through thousands of nights like this, and feel it too.

"Don't leave me-" you whisper to me as you slowly drift to sleep.
"I'll never leave you." I promise as I comb my fingers softly through your blonde hair.

The sun will rise to see another day, and I will fade from sight, but you will never from mine. So, for tonight my friend, let my heart become yours. I will always be with you. Let my wings protect and comfort you. I will always love you.

I sat for a long time thinking about this. You leave me in awe to the mystery of your art. Its how you write things. Or maybe how you express it, with emotions and moving imagery. With this prose I see an angel folding white wings over someone lying on a stone pedestal, in a dark room whose only light is from the window. It’s a beautiful picture.

In the writing you have that soul mate concept, except here you are the angel and your friend is the one in pain. I made this judgment by the description: “as an angel watches over her.”

This is perfect…. You put me to shame with this.. lol.

This is in the book I’m reading and I wrote it down because it made me think of you:

“She is something more than the humble servant of that glorious art which can touch the heart of mankind. She sings. And is a master at the instrument which gives voice to poetry. Her name is Sincerity. Her voice itself is but a fragile breath, but which will never die away.” –Milton Cross
