    -------------------------------------------

    There is no yesterday
    Everything past is
    a million miles away

    Digesting simple truths
    the grand ol scene
    gives way to the machine

We watch the sky turn to grey
    taking pleasure in simple things

Words old ghosts long to say

    Whatever may surface
    it slowly disappears
    Eaten by the worthless

    Listening without ears
    Stoned eyes opened wide

We watched the sky turn to grey
and as it twitched as it died

Smiling as it went our way

This, to me, is a very beautiful and emotive piece. If I were to change anything, I believe I would add more this piece, because it left me wanting more. However, if this was you intention, leave it as is; because it is well-crafted and an edge-of-your-seat and strangely somber work. Keep up the good writing. Drop by and comment some of my work sometimes.
