Rambling thoughts
Gestured smiles
Thoughtless words
And tender lies
Here we stand in a world immoral
A world lost, a world forgotten
"Things are different than they were five years ago"
I can't agree more
We're shunning kindness
Harming innocence
Berating creativity
Where did the ingenuity go?
Where did the ability to think outside the box
disappear to?
We're now wrapped in a cosmic blanket of murder
Frugality
Greed
I need the needle that wove this tapestry
I need it to undo the thread wrought upon
humankind
Slowly unravel this misguided, black throw
There is no longer color
No longer happiness in yellows
Love in pinks
Passion reds
Instead we're left with gray politics
Black hatred
Brown discrepancy
This earth is a harbinger of all things unnecessary
"Us"
A word to describe one whole
Which is greater than the sum of it's parts
But do we see this?
Do we realize how true and desirable this is?
Of course not
We're wrapped in a blanket of murder
Of lies
Destruction
We're nothing but a broken vow
Put upon humanity to ensure it's everlasting life
And this we've consumed, yet still hungry for more
More of something we cannot have
We cave, we crack, we dwindle
Even this, just this, "we"
I am a bystander
I am an onlooker
To this destroyed enigma
Humankind
I am not a part of "we"
nor will I ever be
"We" is the word for ignorance
the word for damnable existence
"We" is the word of worlds collapsed. |
