A reflection of candlight glistens in her eyes
darkness consumes the blanketing skies
besides tiny, sparkling lights
which dance, peacefully at great heights
The night is dark, but not is her mind
for a small glimmer of hopeful time
this is a feeling that she has missed
wondering even if dreams exist.
Happiness and peace have arisen tonight
And though the heart is lacking light
do not stop or shed a tear..
for then the stars will disappear
and drown in salty seas.
