To my son- In the world in which you are my life, I wish you luck in your future. I hope to give you everything you need, And hope to never wish we had a closier. In the years that will go by, You will always find. Your father at your side, Regardless of time. And I will be there, Even when your wrong. To protect and love you, Even when I'm gone. I write to state The obvious at first. But shed light on the fact Life cannot get worse. When your old enough To read through my work. You will find sadness at best, And you were my perk. Continue when I'm gone, Never forgetting how to fight. And one day I'll see you again, When we no longer see the light. ~Love is the sky, In which we fly. As birds to the flock, Taking flight.~ |
This is very real; filled with a father's hope and and pride in his son. Our lives change the very moment that we have children of our own, and from that moment on they become a part of us. Nice work; much honest feeling here! | Posted on 2009-10-25 00:00:00 | by Ron Cole | [ Reply to This ] | |
