You here the howl of the wolf, filled with lust for your blood,
Take no time to slow for this creature, based, around the hunter is relentless and unforgiving,
All four limbs strengthened only by the smell of blood and fresh meat, soon enough the one lone howl is accompanied by ten,
Run run prey run for your life, stumble and grasp, hard rocks beneath feet, soft pads grip is far greater,
You see? A wolf is a hunter, no possible escape, in an instant they are on you, teeth bared and eyes flared, ten in all, large and upright,
Immediately the myths of werewolves surround your mind, only to be actually surrounded by the killer creatures of the forest,
These are no werewolves, upright and human in stance, salivating at the mouth and snarling, your escape is useless,
“Stray from the path and be devoured by the Lord of Wolves” that is what you were told yet stray you did and die you will,
You realise these creatures, these hunters have no remorse nor do they care, no mere human form to escape to, wolf by heart, wolf by body, wolf by soul,
You feel your heart throb and beat as the bark from a dark tree collides with your back, now your doomed to the Lord of Wolves,
Beg and plead, bleed and scream is all you can do, no one will hear, no one cares for you strayed from the path,
Freezing and terrified a howl erupts nearby, leaves rustling and a soft panting as the Lord of Wolves closes in, the ten human like creatures whine and step back,
Ears lowered and their muscle bound bodies lowered to all fours in respect for their alpha, these are the wolves, teeth bared and mouths all ready to tear and roar,
The light from the half moon shines beside you, the crisp white pelt of a wolfish head beside you, you go to scream only to be thrown to the floor,
Head throbbing and eyes distorted, making out an image of a white pelted upright wolf, much larger than any other, muzzle agape and dripping with blood, red eyes blurry and wide,
Your pleas for survival are cut short by a large black claw, running the course of your throat, gasping for air is all you can do, gasp and splutter as the blood flows freely splashing to the leafy floor,
A cackle erupts from the wolfish muzzle and you feel sharp teeth bite into your left leg, tearing your muscle open only to slip down this creatures gullet,
A new cry only pumps more blood from your open neck, bleeding to death and silent, body limp and useless your devoured by the Lord of Wolves.
“Now children, never stray from the path, or the Lord of Wolves will tear your throat and devour you whole...”
