I woke up today
With a smile on my face.
I stretched my arms,
And they fall back in place.
A dream I had,
And a happy one at that.
Where the sky was bright,
And I knelt petting a cat.
The birds were chirping
And flowers were pretty,
I began to jog
A pace so steady.
People saying hi,
And greeting me well.
Until I stumbled
And fell.
I stood back up,
And smiled some more.
A gash on my leg,
Where the rock had tore.
It bothered me none,
I continued on.
And tipped my hat,
To the seregate nun.
And when I did awake,
I was happy at first.
But realized life was good in my dream,
But here it was the worst. |
