Chapter 1: The man Who saved my life.
“Loud blurring music ,people pushing and shoving. What a night I just want to go home,
I just want to go home.” I looked at the stars the night was clear but there was no moon
it made me edgy. What could happen I wonder. I sat waiting for my mom to come pick me up from that stupid dance, but thats when I learned sitting alone at night wasn’t a good idea.
“Come on let me show you some thing.” He said. Me not wanting to be a stick in the mud just followed along and got knocked out and pushed in a van. So stupid, kept running through my mind. But luckily I had hid a knife in my boot I wasn’t going down without a fight.
“Aaahh!” He yelled after I stabbed him, I then fell backwards out of the van.
I couldn’t see any thing but colors in front of my face.
“Bang!” I was on the ground which felt like pavement, with blood coming out of my shoulder. He shot me in the shoulder and drove off, he left me lying on the road bleeding and I couldn’t see anything. It hurt so much I couldn’t yell out in pain,
really I couldn’t even breath, I couldn’t even see the stars.
I’m so weak, I thought to myself to fall for such lies. I started to feel really cold lying there on the road in pain, I felt like the life slowly flowing out of me.
I could feel death in my bones and it really hurt, why doesn't the pain go away?
All I could think about was how could those punks do me in so easily
and “Why am I so weak!?” I yelled with the last bit of life I had, after that
the pain the thoughts the fear and the memories slipped away from me I knew
what was going to happen next. “I told her my destiny was death, ha I really was right after all.” I whispered. I was so cold.
I lie there and waited for death for what felt like an eternity in the darkness of that moonless night. When fate took a left turn and nearly ran smack dab into me.
All I could see was everything turned white like a flash of light and I heard a car pull up.
My heart started to hurt while it turned to fear. “Cough!” Blood flew all over me it felt like goo on my face.
“Are you alright?” The man asked. His voice was incredibly strong and soft like a fathers voice when protecting his daughter but of corse I wouldn’t know what that sounded like.
The man felt my heart beat and asked again.”Are you alright!?” He whispered in my ear.
He was so close to my body I started to feel warm again but with life coming back into my body so to did the pain.
“Cough! Just peachy.” I said in a blood covered whisper.
I so wished to see this mans face, he felt so warm and strong. But my fate was not so easily gone around death still gripped at my heat or really stabbed.
Yet something inside of me screamed out “ You have to fight to life, be strong, over come all odds and be The Guardian of life!” It screamed inside of me, it screamed like
a pain inside my heart. Then it whispered, “You must fight to be free.” inside my
head I always imaged my self surrounded by the chains of my life like a prisoner
in pain crying out for help, but I learned a long time ago if you want to be free you have
to fight for your self but I was never strong enough to feel that freedom I longed for.
“Be strong.” It screamed again.
“I’m not strong.” I whispered. Thinking of my life my chains my pain, it made me cry.
“What did you say?” The man still sitting next to me asked.
“I said I’m not strong and I never will be, yet I wish I was. I wish I was strong so I
could be free and protect every one I care about so I wouldn’t be a burden.
I really wish I was strong.” I said with tears and blood going every where.
The man then picked me up and took me to his car. His arms were so warm
and soft, and I was so tired I fell asleep before he put me in his car.
Part 2: I’m still a life, and my freedom follows soon behind with this man is my future.
I awoke to find my arm bandaged ,my vision fine ,and my but on a couch.
That man from last night walked through a door of this place he threw a
news paper at my face I jumped back and reopened my wound.
“Get up you’ve been asleep for 3 days kid I want my couch back.”
He said.
“I was already awake and....Oww!” I yelled.
The man came over to me looked at my arm and hit me on the head.
“Oww! Again.” I whined.
“Oh that didn’t hurt stupid kid, why don’t you stay still so this wound won’t open back up again and maybe I won’t smack you over the head again. Girl.”
He said with a huge cigar in his mouth.
“ok.” I said whispering.
The man got up and rubbed my head, that made me feel better but still I was on
edge. This man saved my life but why?
The man walked over to the kitchen and started making breakfast, still smoking that huge cigar. I laid back down and thought about the fact maybe I really was free
this man just saved me from the chains of my life, and now I could become strong.
“Hey kid! Food!” Yelled the man. |
