A poem I wrote a few weeks ago. I added the punctuation after I wrote then poem.

The Winter's Thaw

Towards the end of every winter I find a thaw
When the ground goes fertile and the air grows raw;
When seeds are planted with hope they grow
And the rushing water doesn't ebb with the flow.

Spring air is the utmost sublime.
It never gets old no matter the time;
It vitalizes the mind and relaxes all-
But come to think of it, so does the fall.

Between extremes the best is found..
Reflecting the pages the book has bound.
A common ground of spaces and words;
The twittering sound from a restless bird.

No matter- it always returns to the end,
To the thaw and a swelling flame to tend;
Stoking it higher to melt the snow-
Additional gallons that aid in the flow.
