Consider me blind The day i wake and my eyes gaze Upon everything that is But not you. Because it's not seeing If I can't see you. With everything the world Has placed upon my plate From the most radiant sunrise To the softest and sweetest of lullabies I have never stumbled upon something As So brilliantly captivating as you- Rigid and firmly in place My heart will never stray, Only ever beating continously overflowing my love Into your cupped hands- So freeze me where I stand, Should the moment come Where my love just spills Into empty and hollow drains That only home sorrow and pain magically and mysteriously I'm locked and intertwined into your life- Should I never see, Or my heart fail to beat let my breath become the wind And carry me to stay Forever in your heart. |
I like the title All the world has to offer, kinda depressing but... perfect title. I like how you use your "overflowing love" as a liquid and then at the end of the poem it becomes air, or as breath that you want to be carried. Thats nice. Theres always something in your poems that is a single idea or stream of conciousness that blows me away. Your ideas are always seperate in the ways you present them, I love that. I could publish a book with the amount of your work I favourite. The emotion behind this is wise, or at least feels wise. You are very insightful to be able to write something like this. The love that this speaks of is a very pure one and hopefully will not be wasted. I really like it. | | Posted on 2009-11-19 00:00:00 | by LiChan | [ Reply to This ] | |
