    dotsImmolation of The Flydots

    It’s ok

    You can forget me

Let your heart latch and sway
    On solitary ballroom dances

    And dance on polished oak
    With the reflections of yourself

Let all those prisons of anguish and love
    Build higher walls
    For yours to be unassailable

Still I will glide through the essence
And beat back every raucous element of myself
    To lift
    Even but your heel
    From the plodding necessity
And defenceless lay that sole upon my neck

    It’s ok

    You can remember me

Through every word you inspired inside of me
    Beat the exclamations of love

You can burry yourself if you wish
I will not halt or stop the shovelling

Though your nails cling and rake bleeding
    To build higher walls
    For you unshakeable

    I will remain staunch
Patient till the end of days
    Upon a lighthouse
    While you from your “watchtower”
    No more imagine the beach
    Where floundering heart seeks sustenance

I cannot draw you from the fat, black and gross
Or the laws alluded to which
    You define yourself

I cannot place your foot upon the path

    You my love

    Must do this yourself

    It’s ok

    You can forget me
