    Description:
This is a draft that i just whipped up, and hope to come back to severally.
I had some ideas, and this is my first attempt to get them across, and it didn't end the way i wanted it to, so we'll see how that goes.
by half-sonnet, i mean that it takes the form of the sonnet, but only uses half of the deca-syllabic requisite for each line.

    dotsDraft: Meio Soneto (Half-sonnet)dots
    -------------------------------------------

    We've now been apart
    These months numb'ring four.
    The passions before
    Well'd up in my heart

    Now fill'd by this being,
    Lasciviousness,
    Have made my mind less,
    Wisdom unseeing.

    Still my sentiment
    Betrays not altogether
    All my endowment:

    T'was bestowed on me
    Joy in pure to be,
    and so live forever.

I heard a rumor that iambic pentameter is the perfect line length for our short attention spans.

I'm not sure why you'd take a beautiful thing like that and chop it up so that and already difficult form becomes near impossible but there ya go.

I do see some potential here in that it's almost haiku-like.

I enjoyed seeing what you did with it and where the attempt was leading, but it's a no for me.

    (sorry... too much Australian Idol)
