    dotsWind, Take Medots

The wind blows the pain away
    gently caressing my face,
drying the tears in my eyes,
the drops that slowly fall down smooth
pale cheeks to fall drip drop on my hands,
on my shirt, on my heaving chest
causing water stains to spread like rivers in cotton.

Oh! How I long to feel the warmth
    of your embrace,
as the heat of your arms cause
    my tears to steam.
just hold me, envelope me so the hurt disappears,
    until you leave;
taking your arms from my side,
your beating heart from my ear,
your gentle kiss from my lips
as you whisper away like a thought of a dream
    sent soaring on winds end.

    Do you blow back?
Blow back, please, and caress me,
for the pain rises up like a tidal wave
    crashing down my inner circuits,
breaking foam on the beach of broken shells
of past lovers and crushed dreams.

But yet it fades back into the ocean,
much like I wish to fade back to you,
but all I am left with are memories
carried away soaring on the wind.
They have the freedom to fly and disappear,
while I am stuck here in solid form
caged in a mortal body with an aching heart

Oh! Wind take away my tears,
    take away my fears,
    take away my heart.
