A day like any other, But different with your appearance; You came in and grabbed a coffee The drink of the gods I've heard said so many times And I agreed wholeheartedly; We chatted about coffee And the wonders Of its differing flavors And mixtures; Then you offhandedly mentioned That your favorite Was an iced raspberry mocha And I discovered I had a kindred coffee soul...

I like it! It reminds me of so many small conversation had over coffee or the like. Very sweet and innocent. I guess the only confusing thing for me is the story. Does the narrator work there? The person who came in talked about this while ordering? Did the person order that coffee? Aside from the plot confusions (that was possible in short poems?) I enjoyed very much reading it :)

I made a coffee friend... she lives on energy drinks and Java monster drinks, and recently got me hooked on Sonic's Mocha Java Chiller with an extra shot of mocha... I like coffee, I just never want it until bedtime is the problem... altho recently, I find a cup of coffee puts me right out to sleep. Weird. Who knew the cure for my insomnia was a pot away this whole time???

I think this is really silly, almost child-like, I love it. Like how kids can become attached to someone so quickly, you and this person attached quickly. But an iced raspberry mocha? I haven't heard that one before, and I love coffee. I'm more of a caramel frappuccino person. ~*~katara~*~

It sounds a bit random thought-ish.. but I like it. I can image the whole scene and how cute and somewhat funny it must have been. Coffee does seem to be "in" these days doesn't it? I like the sense of camaraderie from only a moment of passing... and the need for small-talk to keep the moment going. Don't you love it when something or someone can change a rather ordinary day into a smiley one? I'll have to try the iced raspberry. Have you ever tried strawberry cream? Yummy.

iced raspberry mocha? please explain that one to me... theres no such thing over here where i exist... you work in a coffee shop? at the moment so do i and i love striking up conversations with the regular customers. any customers really. today i had one of the students testing out the german she learnt in class on me. it was very impressive. and you get to the point where you remember what a person orders so you see them coming and start making their coffee for them and it makes them feel special or something... that someones taken time to know something about them... you know? im allergic to drinking coffee these days. i just came back from ethiopia, the home of coffee, and everything here tastes so... horrid in comparison lol.
