    Know your enemy
    Study your enemy
Or the fear they will generate in you
    Will become your greatest enemy

    Cling to the paradigm
    Beyond doubt
For which you would explain your world
And while love bleeds at your knees
    Still you sigh
    Surrender yourselves
And ask each other “ what is it all for ”

    Innocence to the trickster’s oligarchy
“ Scion ” in ever mode of your blank and facile deliverance
    You kiss the feet
    And bend to the Phallus

    Ignorance; enemy of the populace
    As you remain
    Choosing the spoon fed information
Babies, suckling on their electrified teat

Aye, but the milk is poison

    Lying to yourselves
As you lift the carpet and sweep under all your conscience
And then shiver in the dark
    In the gathered dust
Of all the piles of unwitting love
You plied in trade for your comfortable lives

Yet, you seek love, ever you seek love
Taking it out each day with the garbage
    Cast off remnants
Of all your tinsel and thanks giving Christmas cheer
And polish the hood of your car
And use the underarm deodorants of pretty cushy
    To have so much
    And not wish for more

But life, real life, beats ever at your door

And the next distraction, beats ever at your door

And you cannot find the answers
In all the lies you sucked up and misused
With all your blind and aberrant abuse
    As they sit upon you

    And in those crazed moments
    When violence and frustration
Has no outlet, except, those closest and dearest
You reap the final hate that will drown you

All your emotion turned to darkness
And in the vicious ideals of your enemy
    You taste your fear
The fear you gave them the power of
    The fear that drove
The fear that steered your heart and life

Your concern not for the world
Not for those who suffer alone
But for the electricity to power your entertainment centre
    The roof over your head
    The food in your mouths
And of such infinitesimal FAITH are you
    As you reach for salvation
    In the next bubbling fix
Of your next sweetie can of coca cola

Living in perfect harmony with the traffic fumes
The adverts and the neon signs
Living in perfect harmony with the trash can allies
And the third world starving nations

Living in your deodorized and sanitized
Easy consumption of the plethora of imagined wealth
Believing ever in your state of freedom
And never, not ever, seeing your slavery

And never, not ever, not once, ever
    Believing in yourselves

You are nothing with the accoutrements
The plastered walls and the supermarket halls
    The billboards
And two world wars have taught you nothing; nothing at all !

    You are now
The facile puke of your spirituality
    The two-dimensional cartoon strip
    Of your own reality
You are the clinging and inescapable fear
    Of all your ignorance
    As innocent liars
To the source of your love
And the awakenings you experience in your heart

Do you think me cruel and unjust ?

Well… take all the overfed and emotional dependence
Take all your self centred concepts
Take all your DVD’s, televisions, cars and homes
Your game boys and X boxes and ps2-3-4-5’s
Take all your games and your films
All your hollywood stars and your guitar heroe’s

    Take all your furniture
    All your clothes
All your restaurants, café’s and burger joints
    All your fashion magazines
    And plastic botox surgeries

    Wrap them up
And place them in front of all the starving children
    Tell them
To make a meal of them

    Take your G8
    Your government
    Your laws
    And your new world order
    Take your lives

Slaves to the hypocrisy of yourselves

Love will always be something you take
    And never give
    Something you will always want
    But never have
And you will thrust this emptiness upon your children
In your excuse and sense of self sacrifice
    And you will teach them
    To be just like you

I feel you...It's tough, but the hardest thing I found from this is that it kept making me think, judge not lest though be judged.

This is political, spiritual and a clear vent on the world...I wonder then sitting at my lap top if I am too condemmed...

I enjoyed this, though thought it was a little long and wondered where it was leading too, but I liked the way you rounded it off...

Reminded me of Philip Larkin's ''Let this be the verse'...please read it...you'll laugh and I'm sure you'll agree with what he said :)

    God Bless x

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
