    A familiar medium
    A shift foward in time
    The wonder years are over
    Will we walk the line?
    Uncertainty about the future
    Another clichéd paradigm
    Walking cunundrums
    clanging the walls of youth
    an unsustainable bipolar truth
nagging at the very spirit of our cosmic drain
We run from our instinctual need
to overcome the blandness to behave
an ordinary tenacity binds us together
    more than many
    beyond reason and insane
    unecessarily scary
    we swallow uncommon shame
walking in the shadows of ourselves
we see death as a friend rather than the fire on our ass that motivates the next trend,
the next step out of bed, the next awakening from the living dead.
An unwelcome acquaintance shakes his head
    Was it really that bad?
all of these things that have been said
It isn't really pertinent to anything relevant in your head
the relative torment over wasted time
    and loss of friends.
Maturity reckons a loss upon me
Childishness seems as foreign as a dream
cognitive dissonance is the norm these days
    awake and asleep
    Even for the free
A concept drawn on a chalkboard tossed in a heap
    Malevolent shattered thoughts
    Another emo song
    One generation at a time
    One spokesman of the day
