Stage is set with Princess Almera gazing out at the sunset, and Prince Jacques lurking just outside her door.
Almera: Alexandros, I wonder where you are… You left on that mission without even a goodbye.
Jacques begins to make his way into the door. Sliding just inside, he pulls a needle containing venom known to cause deep sleep from his cloak. Obscuring it with his sleeve, he glides over to greet his sister, a sinister glint in his eye.
Jacques: Almera, m’Dear sister. How are you? Father has sent me to tell you that tonight we will have a grand banquet!
Having caught his sister’s attention, Jacques approaches her.
Almera: Brother, you have spoken with father?
Jacques: Indeed I have, now embrace me with sisterly love.
Almera smiles broadly and hugs Jacques.
Almera: [With gusto] What great news! Tonight we shall feast in gay company!
    Jacques: Yes… we shall indeed.
Jacques breaks away from the hug and grazes her with the needle. Falling to the ground, Jacques calls for his henchmen to carry off the princess.

    Act II- Alexandros’ strife.
The scene begins with a dusty knight riding in from the eastern road, away from the direction of the Deserts from whence he came. The city in turmoil, a man approaches the legendary knight and declares the reasoning behind the city’s unrest.

Merchant: Alexandros! Oh, Sir Alexandros! A tragedy has befallen the city! The Prince has stole away his sister, your lover! Save her, Sir Alexandros!
    Alexandros: Oh my god!
A look of alarm taking the face of the knight, he bucked his horse and rode off to the Palace. Barging his way all the way into the Throne room, Alexandros notices the king in a sobbing mess.
King Parteza: Oh! My daughter! My son! How could this have happened?
Alexandros: Milord, I have returned from the desert encampment, and have found that my dear Almera was kidnapped by Jacques! What shall I do!?
    King: Save my daughter!
    Alexandros: What of your son?
King: Kill him only if necessary. Go Alexandros! My daughter’s life is in your hands!
So the noble Alexandros rushed full speed ahead with information on the princess’s location gathered by spies.

    Act III- Flight
Almera awakens to find herself bound, gagged, and atop a horse.

    Almera: -Muffled yells-
Jacques: All will be well soon, little sister. I am taking you to the Tower of my mother, The French Lady of Pastry.
    Almera: -More muffled yells-
Jacques: [To the audience] Now, for the Forest's Venom... -proceeds to inject his sister with a poison known to cause temporary Amnesia, and in rare cases, insanity, and she and her maid with more sleeping medicine. [Scene ends with Almera falling back to sleep, and Jacques laughing like a madman.]
Act IV- Meeting of the knights
Alexandros arrives at a tower that almost touches the sky. Fighting his way through obstacles and enemies he manages to reach the top where Jacques meets him.
Jacques- So it seems the love struck knight has come to the aid of the damsel in distress. [Jacques back is to Alexandros.] Yet he is late for the pleasantries. [Turns to face Alexandros with sword drawn]. But there wouldn’t be a ball without him.
Alexandros- I wish not to kill you but if I must to save the jewel of our kingdom then I will. [Draws sword]
The two battle hardened men attack each other with their swords slashing and parrying. Jacques and Alexandros lock their swords together for a struggle.
Jacques- My sister will not be swallowed up by barbarians nor will she live a sad life with her beloved. [Pushes down on sword to where Alexandros is on one knee.]
Alexandros- No she won’t be. She will see the beauty of lands far distant as her beloved promised her. [Manages to push back Jacques with his sword.]
Jacques- [Stumbles] I will not allow you to bring a tear to her eye nor let her see the country she love devoured by- [pauses to see Alexandros had stab him before he could gain balance]. It would seem you won the prize, regret. [Falls]
Alexandros- I am sorry but your vision was clouded.
Alexandros enters the princess’s chamber to see her looking out the window.
Alexandros- My love, I have come to save you! We must make haste; your brother’s men lurk...
Almera turns and looks at him with a blank stare.
Alexandros- Beloved do you not see me?
Almera is thrown into a frenzy, apparently by the effect of the poison, and seemingly from nowhere, she plants a dagger into his forehead...
    Maid: [Gasp] My god!?
Almera: You’ll not have me, you hag!
Dropping her dagger, Almera grabs a lamppost and begins to swing it about at the Maid Kykyo. Striking her in the back of the head, a ‘THUD’ was heard, along with a shriek, as Almera recognized what she had done.
Almera: Oh Alexandros! Kykyo! What have I- [Face takes a solemn look] There is only one atonement for this sin.
Stepping up to a nearby windowsill, Almera fell backwards from the top of the Tower.
