    dotsTales between the sheets 3dots

“What did you mean before- about searching for nonsensical things?”

(A sigh.) “What do you want to hear?”

“No, really- What did you mean?”

“I mean that the things I look for are not real- They are Hollywood dreams and flights of fiction, but nothing more.”

“Hmm… But what does that really mean?”

“Why do you ask? Because, I don’t think it really matters, one way or the other, to you- not really.”

“But I’m asking- doesn’t asking count for something?”

“Yes, fine. I’ll play nice. I guess it means that I don’t believe in any of those things that books and movies portray as both desirable and attainable. I think those, to still remain, unnamed things, only exist in the world of make believe, not the world of right now, right here.”

“Not even a little bit? No? Not at all, huh? I don’t know if I believe you.”

“Oh and why not? Tell me, what’s not to believe?”

“Oh, I don’t know, there is something in your eyes that tells me.”
