These same four walls scream at me
Telling me lies about the world outside
They preach a world of love and tenderness
The likes of which i can only dream.
Yet this world of peace and love
Has yet to be seen of
It only exists in whispers and fairy tales
A world of chaos and turmoil
That is the truth to this world
No love, only hate
No mercy, only fear.
No emotions, only emptiness
Yet these walls try to coax me into believeing
Try to help me keep faith in a dying world
To these walls I say thank you
For trying to keep my innocence intact
For having faith in a world so cold
The truth, though, is nothing
But I must remember the everything,
and I mean everything, is permitted...
