    dotsLocomotive Sabotagedots
    -------------------------------------------

    Price and distance…
    Love and art…
The call of the lonely whistle…
The call for progress, the steady, the driven…
    Steel, furiously pumping…
    Legs wheels
    And arms
The engine, the boiling blood of life…
The creation of innovation of the road…
    The first time…
Now the highway and again the road with no wheels…
    No driver…
    No whistle blower…
Worth its weight in steam, in coal, in electro magnets
There is no more a great spine…
    Not with interstates, and automobiles,
    Not with internets, and PC’s
Not with Manifest Destiny and Forsaken moments in the lives of Prophets…
Not with golden spikes and black and white portrayals of French revolution…
    And the shovel in the whistle… dig… dig… shiv… shiv… shiv…
    The smokestack…
    The hero Casey Jones…
    The hero John Henry
The great burning death of the American Buffalo
The great frontier of west and desert…
    Conquest… and slave labor…
    Indentured servitude…
There is the smooth unrusted pressed black heavy
There is the solid straight slanted and there is the dream of America in the railroad times…
Bubbling, and pressurizing, and driving, driving, driving,
    Driven
    Driven
    Driven
Into the distance with a wail called the siren of the dead dreams…
    To wake and be dream’t
The force of creation is driving…
    Is
    Driven
    Driven
    Is
    Driven…
    Thinking it can…
