    Rich, dark Earth
    Cool, bright heavens
Stretched out beneath the sky of blue, across the green blades of soil’s blanket lies a girl, myself,
residing between the two worlds of Heaven and Earth, of body and soul…
    Of dreams
Time holds no bearings in the state of sleep
    No anger
    Or pain
    No remorse
    Or love
    Or anything…
    …Unless imagined
Body lain to rest. Mind left to wander… to endless lengths
    Rules reign cease
Subconsciously our souls paint pictures where our minds dwell
    In peace
Where faint beams of morning light slip between the branches of an old oak tree, leaves rustling in the
breeze, their shadows dancing on the lush spring grass
    Savoring beauty for sweet beauty
The only sound a meadow lark’s song and the steady rush of air of my own breathing
Savoring the silence for sweet silence
Until the morning light seeps through the window and I wake to the Earth
Where all memories of the past hours escape me
And words of explanation fail to come…
…only to appear once again in the last moments of day and sleep takes hold of my weary eyes
    Again savoring the sweet silence
    For what it is
