    -------------------------------------------

Dear pine tree standing straight and tall,
How is it that I envy you?
You have never craved for something new.
Forever content in your bark enclosed wall.
No need for touch or feeling at all.
No kisses but that from a morning dew,
No embrace from the trees that surround you.
    Comparatively your needs are small.
You have no use for friends or lovers.
Your branches canít fathom heartache or shame.
The only love you receive is that from your brothers,
The earth, sun, wind and rain.
Oh pine tree youíre just like all the others,
Indifferent to my loneliness and pain.
