    -------------------------------------------

If our skies were truly blue-
    our grass were truly green-
if the earth were to explode-
    what would it truly mean?
that if I could do the math-
    subtract you away from poetry-
I'd look into that look in your eyes:
the skies waterfall away from skies
    as rain upon my palms
    and cradle your world inside
    the width of my arms...
    clutching at tectonic
    cloud shifts of cumuli
separating the planes of your chest
    pressed against mine to compressed
    liquids gases and solids
just to compose our very own
    super-condensed planet
    once there then assimilate
    extra-terrestrial plans to terraform
the phenyl strophes of your breasts
    as tropospheres eloping the climatic
    weathers of each breath
    and with what's left...
freeze the rest of your genetic
    imperfections cryogenically
just to further preserve your genealogy
    and steadily disposition
    the letters of your letterman
    sweater to make better different
love letters each time like tropical
weather sweats of my labor meeting
    in reconnect with lyrical texts
curled into fetal furls like the
twirled bourbon curls of your hair
    until our minds spiral double-helix
back unto your world washing you
    with refreshingly splashed
    tears like sexed sun drops

But if all the sex stopped-
dropped at the next bus stop-
and if all of the hugs stopped-
    would your love still-
    stop-
    blacksmithing our black
    words back-backwards
    smelting each letter together
as verbs to form adverbs intricately
    those Chaotically Intimate instances
    when adjectives accumulate teardrops
like disco balls and light strobes
    dancing upon the subfloors
    of your gastro bypassed spectros
    electing to connect your spine
    to astral electrodes-
my mind entwined in your eminence
    emanates an emulate feeling
    of intermittent healing: galactic
    ascension of your heavenly maestro
    conducting time zones in accordance
    with mind-toe slips on half-second
    minutes in concordance with accordion
    steps tripping over light years
into eons of centuries so when
    that next generation's key super-
centurion's eyes loft to the sky
    he will see...
that not only would I rearrange
the stars of your heart upon loose-leaf-
wood tars but recycle tree barks
in the darks of twilight under Mars light
just to scar the very face of God for you

And if I could do the math-
    subtract you away from poetry-
    and if I didn't have-
all of you but just a half-
    I would scour every
    last one of our hours
    multiply our seconds
    by our brief minutes
    of sexual explicity
    ever spent together
and with a kiss from those implosive lips
which leaves my lung capacity illicitly
consisted of just enough time to take leave
from my life to become your personal
    career...mine would then proceed
to soften your hardships through bars
of poetry until the days when my fingers
and bones no longer spoke tones of poesy
    poetically with poetiquette

If our skies were truly blue-
    our grass were truly green-
and if the earth were to explode-
    what would it truly mean?
    if all the sex stopped-
dropped at the next bus stop-
and if all of the hugs stopped-
    would your love still stop?
and if I could do the math-
    subtract you away from poetry-
    and if I didn't have-
all of you but just a half-
    I would travel the land-
    barter the math-
    perform an inversion of halves-
    dividing my words as letters-
    upon your wherefores-
    under the weathers of-
    your therefores looking wherefore-
for the upper specular division of my gift-
    to words for your love-
    and if I subtracted-
    you away from poetry-
    would it ever be-
    Just You and Me?
