You can be introduced into barren loneliness
As if you where an orchid
As some overture you always remembered
    Were sounding with a sonar
Deep into the unfathomable depths of your heart, you are

    And as a solitary fly
You tend to ignore the stickiness of the trap
    Careening straight in
    All exuberance
And forgetting how you can so easily be, switched off

    Sucked out
Is how these flies end their life
    Spiders are vampires

You can hear the excuse of the distance between us
    And funny how
They never want to stay friends
And the horizon is and already was
    A dream

Thatís how it is, in the web

Carnivores devouring their own sense of self worth
As if bleeding, could save them
But at least they can pretend
    On the web
    To be something

And there you are buzzing quiet happily
There you go through the inter-complexity
Of radio signal and satellite connectivity
    Happy little fly
    Albeit happily electronically

    Until, suddenly
This hungry red mist of beauty
    Calls you with a parachute
And you giggle, jiggle acting stupidly bashful
    While the silken threads
    Of cyber sex
Lure you into their deep dark hole
    And there
    Devour you

    Losing control
    Getting involved
Until you realise you fooled yourself
Fooled yourself into thinking it was real
And love could span a million miles
    Until your heart could swell
    And leap oceans

    But no

    Silly boy

    You were just a toy

    Silly you, silly me

That you have to, once again realise
    That the illusion
    Is more painful
    Than the truth
    and the truths reality

    And you
    You are just a photograph
    A voice
    A momentary fly
    Stuck in the web
    And spiders are vampires
