Never Forget

Never do I want to lose the memories of my childhood
Days I dreamt of doing things, I always knew I could
Dressing up in mommy’s clothes and too big high heels
And learning how to ride a bike with no training wheels
Being able to get away with things with puppy dog eyes
Laying in the grass and seeing cloud bunnies in the skies
Never wanting to take a nap when Mom said it was time
Feeling richer than a king when I would find a dime
Running away from boys, and getting cootie shots
Making friendship bracelets of colored strings tied in knots
To avoid the lava monster I jump from couch to chair
Jumping from the swings to see who could get more air
When Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, and Tooth Fairy were real
Back when I never knew how bad heartbreak could feel
Remembering the days when I was innocent and young
Praises of my innocence, now must be sung
Never let me forget the memories of my childhood
When everything in this world, seemed pure and good

I thought that is was a very good idea, the only thing to say against it would be (i know this is sort of nit picky but it's the only bad thing that caught my attention) that when your talking about Santa Claus, [the] Easter bunny,... although it could go about either way, but it would make the flow better for that line... so it's up to you! Keep writing :)
