All alone, no where to turn

I gave you my life,

You watched me burn

don't look at me,

I might just cry.

You sat there and lied,

as I lay alone and died.

My understanding of this poem is it's depiction of how one feels after a painful end of a relationship. The likely end of this relationship was that one of the members cheated and the other felt as though they had nothing once the relationship was over. I think this poem has a good flow to it. It captures how a lot of us feel after the end of a relationship, when that part of your life is over it does feel like a death, or at least a very significant loss.
