    dotsWe May Drowndots
    -------------------------------------------

We may drown / not to save
    let our hope float away
    down current / up wind
my last breath I will lend
    for a seasong of simply
    me and you
    never them, please
    donít you close your eyes
    donít you ever die

if we drown / sunny day
let the tides come to play
    our pulses / my bride
    sing along from inside
    just a lastsong of wishing
    for our lips
    come a-kissing
    donít you slip away
    donít you ever stray

now we drown / now we stay
    scattered thoughts in the bay
our noon sun / looms nigh
    forever more, by and by
    sing a heartsong of farewell
    now and then
    be my death knell
    donít you stay with me
    and forever be

    mine

i think you should make this a song.
    yes.
i think you should pick up your guitar and make it into a song.
    right now.
i dont know what time it is there [somewhere near 6am would be my guess] but it is 12:38am here and i am just home from quite possibly THE most perfect night ive had in quite a while...
my brother [who is over from australia though im the only family member who is allowed to know this haha] and i just went to the dirty ol' empire [a pub that hasnt been open in who knows how long but its rediculously iconic in the history of dunedin music] to catch the chills play [a band who kept saying "oh yeah.. and we havent played this one live since 1992" haha]
and despite the fact that the lead singer looked very bloated and like he could drop dead at any minute it was good. im glad i went.
even more so because tomorrow [or technically today] i am not going to work because i am having a "personal crisis day" which means a friend of mine is moving to ethiopia on saturday and i am in love with a boy in ethiopia so tomorrow i am taking the day off work so i can go and buy the boy a present so my friend can take it with her and deliver it to him. perfect eh?
and part of that gift [i promise this rambling is going somewhere or perhaps im just drowning here] is beer label love hearts. whenever me and the boy had a beer the last time i was there he would peel the label off the bottle and rip it into a love heart and me, being some rediculously sooky-lala in love girl creature has taken one of those hearts and put it in the back of my cellfone where the battery goes..
so yup... for the longest time i have been trying to reciprocate the beer label love hearts but fascinatingly enough they glue labels on WAAAY too well here so picking them off has proven impossible UNTIL TONIGHT!!
standing there listening to the chills with my brother in top bar of the dirty ol' empire i managed to pick not one but TWO labels off my beer bottles!!

and thats how i know that everything is going to be okay
and thats why i say this should be a song

    yeah?
