    It's funny how,
    A small change
    From day to day
    Can be so impacting.

    It's a mystery,
    That this happiness
    Has grown-
    Despite despair.

    Though I fear,
    And confidence
    Will sometimes flee,
This I will hold on to.

    I will not push away
    In the same way
    As before.
    I will think.

    I tell myself
    That this is okay.
    I feel safe,
Though my feelings can be fleeting.

    I'll hold on
    To this lightheartedness.
I will not place the burden,
    Again upon my back.

I don't know if I'm readin this wrong, I read it a few times and it would seem that your keeping something with you, but then you change in the last stanza sating that you will not hold on to something, are you talking about something separate? or the same object/metaphor/ whatever? I'm confuse about the last two stanzas.... :/
but the rest of it was really quite good.
    keep writing

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
