    dotsPain of Growth...Countrysidedots
    -------------------------------------------

    The greenbacked mountains,
    the lavish bones of God,
    Husks of cars,
    derelict fruitstands,
    pointing the way,
    Concavity of sky,
flowers where lives use to be,
    marking the spots,
    where hearts abruptly ceased,
    and new ones began,
    Jutting,
    the marrow of stone,
    overgrown with moss,
    lush,
    porous like us,
    the water wears it away.

    Lips of God,
    did symphonys escape your tongue,
    when you thought of me,
    and breathed me into life,
when you encased me in this vessel,
when arteries formed and blood was pumping,
did tears fall like renegade angels,
    from your omniscient eyes,
    were you lonely,
when my blooded frame had yet to exist,
did you hold me in your arms,
and only reluctantly let me go.
