your heart is your favorite weapon
it cuts and kills and no one sees
like a secret you can't unwhisper
    a tragedy dropped and spun
    and you're not ashamed
but you do it in the dead of nite
    cause the lite beckons reflection
    and you can't bare reminders
of the heavy things you've done

    such a pretty girl
    such a pity, girl

    you're pretty, vicious
    playing innocent
    doesn't equal innocence
    yeah, you're pretty, vicious
    without me
    you can get so ugly
    you're pretty, vicious
but you used to just be pretty

    posture something so mature
a job and a corner apartment
    things you'll call progressing
but your soul is a wake
not even death showed up to
and you say, “it's not easy.”
to speak words that don't offend
    your excuses are like nooses
they're cliché and they're killing you

    such a pretty girl
    such a pity, girl

    you're pretty, vicious
    playing innocent
    doesn't equal innocence
    yeah, you're pretty, vicious
    without me
    you can get so ugly
    you're pretty, vicious
but you used to just be pretty

and you're waiting on a vampire
    but your blood runs cold
and you're waiting to grow up
    but you're just getting old
and i told you about redemption
    but your pride won't bend
    and your hands won't fold

    such a pretty girl
    such a pity, girl

I love this theme, and I am curious as to what kind of music you would put this to. I can definitely see it as a slower song, not too slow, but mellow.

People are a never-ending source of fascination for me. Maybe that's why I've always been drawn towards people who are a little skewed... they hold mystery for me, but some time ago, I had to give up the illusion of rescuing them. People have to help themselves, and it is a pity when you see them floundering but can do nothing about it save be there for them. But even this comes to question when that someone begins hurting you.

It's one thing if a person sees their problems and is willing to work towards remedying them. It's another thing entirely if all they are interested in is being good in word but not deed. They are wolves in sheeps' clothing. I tend to have more respect for those who are wolves and don't pretend not to be. At least you know who is snapping twigs in the forest!

I guess each of us has a different idea what it is to be progressing. For some of us progress is a material ambition, and if seen that way, it truly is a shallow thing that can get in the way of absorbing the deeper lessons that can be gleaned along the way.

Sitting in my modest apartment with my (extremely) modest income, or being splashed by cars in a hurry to get somewhere while I walk in the freezing rain, it has been easy for me to become bitter about what I don't have - and I have spent my fair share of time feeling bitter - but recently, my thoughts have subtly shifted to a stance of pity when it comes to people who couldn't see what they have if it hit them upside the noggin. Maybe I am the lucky one!

Your songs are always thought-provoking, which I like a lot. I love music with a passion (music with passion)... something from almost every genre. There is a wealth of great music out there, but it seems you really have to dig for it now. The <stuff> on the radio seems to be increasingly shallow.., so hurry up and get famous so you can share your music with the world!

    Bye for Now,

      too many secrets left unwhispered
tend to leave skeletal masses twisted
and all the peripherals damaged, shattered
by someone who could have mattered

    I hear that.
