    Description:
Probably the most fictional write I've written, I can relate, myself, I guess. But this isn't exactly how things went down in "my version." (Yes, I wrote this, yet I am relating as a spectator. And by "my version" I mean personal experiences.)

    -------------------------------------------

I swear I heard a quiver in your voice, last night
Yet I challenged all the doubt
As it wondered the streets of my mind
Would be unreal to live without
So I push the thoughts down
To memory's aft, where I cannot find

I noticed no passion in your words, last night
But a hint of despair, from your troubled eyes
And a void of silence replacing "I love you"
I should know better than your world of lies
But I'm too blind for that
Couldn't imagine this world when we're through

And when you walked away, into the dark night
    I cringed, but I couldn't imagine why
Somewhere inside, I knew that you were gone
And that you would soon say goodbye
    Denial can pack a punch
When you realize, been oblivious so long

And I didn't want to hear it
    Lie to my face instead
    Do you ever feel regret
    Crawling through your head
Sure it stung and lingered there
Am I not good enough for you
What a lie, in such despair
Far too good is much more true

    But I won't wave goodbye
    For now I'll stay
    Then with wings I'll fly
    And fade away
