    -------------------------------------------

    Juicer caged between my ribs,
turns to pulp the fruit you give.
Surely, this should quench a thirst.
    But, it never settles in.

    Mother said, Father said,
there was shining gold inside this chest.
They dug for years in fool's belief,
though, never found an ounce of it.

i can never quench my thirst for love or achievement...and though mother and father said there was gold in me...no lover has ever found it...i have kept it hidden...and fooled many a man...
and maybe myself because i never accepted love from others.

i am surprised there is no response to this...

    like it quite well...nice metaphor.

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
