       A re-post but also a pet peeve.

Make the font bigger!! Double Spacing Back to recent posts.

we servants of a nameless kind
are summoned out to seek and find
    (with maybe some telepathy)
all spoilers of the human youth
and garblers of the sacred truth

    deceivers, liers, self-fulfilled
if left to us we'd have you grilled
    (and that for an eternity)
on endless grace is what you've bet
but chances are we'll get you yet

    pontification is your bent
as if you think you're heaven sent
    (with great dilatability)
in truth you're nothing but a cad
your droning's bound to drive us mad

in sects is where you've built your base
a con job on the human race
    (preying on gullibility)
in this food chain you've set your sights
    you're nothing more than parasites

a curse upon your hated lot
    too insignificant to swat
    (it's ultraseriousity)
    your whiney noises irritate
    incessent buzzing we do hate

compelled we are now to devise
    a mechanism of demise
    (with sheltered obviousity)
    to gather fools who congregate
mistaken souls soon to be late

    your very nature is profane
so function will design a bane
    (with irresistability)
    to capture using great appeal
the poison God cares not to heal

    it's laced with negativity
    a twist of some divinity
    (of certain mootability)
a deadend, none will get too far
caught in a bottle or a jar

it's murky by design, this pool
a trap to capture any fool
    (with inescapability)
so join with others of your kind
all mired in liquid state of mind

our entranceway that seems so sweet
    just disappears beneath your feet
    (a lewiscarrollosity)
    under the many watchful eye
    of Him the greatest dragonfly

and looking back from where you fell
into this mass of teeming hell
    (treading such mutability)
    heaven yet beckens, far away
but rest assured you're here to stay

Wow!!! This poem speaks to things that are so true of our age. Religion is a human creation, making it imperfect and flawed. Thanks for sharing!

This poem seems almost an affront to the constitutional fortitude out of good old fashioned american religion , (eg. unalienablely granted by God ) . How can we ask the children to believe in something we obviously 'psychokinesis' are not in possession of ? All that aside it still gives me hope and comfort when I consider I'm "here to stay" .

A "lewiscarrollosity"! What a fantastic word creation!

The garblers of sacred truth do indeed have a nasty surprise awaiting them at the gates.

A clever rhyme with much meaning to be taken by those who will likely not listen.
    Bummer for them.

    Nicely done, Monk.
I enjoy your spiritual forays, they have a lot of heart and just as much smart.

That voice speaking for this work is not of my kind, and such entities remain historically nameless. Just some good fun here.

"Christian Israel" sounds very nice but if analyzed might be contradictory, basically combining "one who follows" Christ with "one who wrestles" with God. But then, I am often found guilty of over analyzing things.
